To ensure a secure installation, it's essential to choose the right location for your mailbox post. The recommended installation height is between 36 and 42 inches above the ground.

Dig a hole that's about 12 inches deep and slightly wider than the post's base. This will provide a stable foundation for your mailbox post.

To assemble the Postal Pro Mailbox Post, start by attaching the Cross Arm to the Vertical Post. This involves sliding the Cross Arm into the opening in the Vertical Post, leaving 17 inches of the Cross Arm extending in front, and securing it with two #12 x 1 Self Drilling Screws.

The Post Cap clips are also included in the hardware kit, and should be attached to the Post and Cross Arm as shown in Figures 3 and 4, with the barb side facing outwards.

You can then slip the Assembly over the Ground Mounting Post, securing it with four #12 x 1 Self Drilling Screws with white heads. This should be done by placing two screws 8 inches up from the ground and two screws 16 inches up from the ground on any side you like.

This decorative mailbox post features a cross arm that can accommodate one or two mailboxes, giving you flexibility in your installation. It's also proudly made in the USA, which is a bonus for those who value supporting local industries.

The mounting process is straightforward, and the instructions are clear. To get started, you'll need to align your mailbox on top of the cross arm and mark the front and back locations of the mailbox mounting holes. This will give you a clear guide for the next steps.

You can choose between two mounting options: securing the screws on the side of the mailbox or through the base/floor. This flexibility allows you to customize the installation to your specific needs.

To mount the mailbox, you'll need to remove it and center the U-brackets where you made the marks. Then, secure the brackets to the cross arm with #8 Self Drilling screws. Use two screws for each U-bracket to ensure a stable hold.

The final step is to set the mailbox on top of the U-brackets and align the holes. You can secure the mailbox to the U-brackets with #10-24 threaded screws and nuts.

Assemble the post by following these simple steps. First, slide the cross arm into the opening in the vertical post.

Next, leave 17 inches of the cross arm extending in front of the vertical post. This will give you enough room to work with.

You'll also need to attach post cap clips to the post and cross arm. Six clips have been included in the hardware kit, and you'll need to attach two per post end application.

To attach the clips, place the barb side on the outside of the PVC posts and center them between the corners. After the clips are in place, slip on the end caps and finial caps for secure installation.

Finally, slip the assembly over the ground mounting post and secure it with four #12 x 1 self-drilling screws with white heads. Place two screws 8 inches up from the ground and two screws 16 inches up from the ground on any side you like.
